May 17, 2020 Announcements

Next week we should get back to having a formatted bulletin although no paper copies will be printed.

Todays offering is for the Building Fund

- JUN 3, 6:30 PM OUR ANNUAL CHURCH BUSINESS MEETING will be held here at the church. Reports from various committees will be given, committee will be reorganized, and proposals for church actions will be presented and voted on.  Anyone is welcome to attend, members are anticipated and have voting privileges.

- WE WILL CONTINUE this temporary format of 2 Sunday morning worship services through May 31.  Our plans, which are always subject to change, are to return to Sunday school and 1 worship service on June 7.

- VBS SIGN UP SHEET is on the Information Counter - some of you signed up via the email that was sent out but there are still positions to be filled.  Check it out & put your name down!

- CARE GROUPS will begin meeting again during the week.  If you are in a group already your leader will contact you.  If you would like to participate in this vital small group ministry please talk to Merlin Miller.

- GRACE HAVEN is a local Biblical counseling ministry that is reliant on donations to continue offering their services.  There is a current need that we want to let the church family know about.  If you would like to support them you can either give directly via the partnership page at gracehavenministries.com, or you can earmark a portion of your donation to Riverview and we will forward any funds designated for them.

- THE LATEST RIVERVIEW MESSENGER is now posted on the church website if you want to get a sneak peek.  A paper copy will be coming later when the print shop opens.

May 10, 2020 Announcements

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! A special blessing of God’s favor for our the mother’s at Riverview today.  Moms are so special, and we are grateful for all of you.  May today be a day of rest & rejuvenation for you.

TENTATIVE RE-OPENING OF IN PERSON SERVICES  We are still tentatively planning on a more full opening of our Sunday morning worship services next Sunday, May 17.  Details will be posted next week.

A MESSAGE FOR THE LADIES:  Our Guest Sewing, which had been planned for May 19, is being postponed until a later time, perhaps this fall.  We will not hold any Sewing in May, but hope to begin meeting again in June.  Please mark your calendar and plan to attend on June 16!

- AS YOU KNOW our church life has changed dramatically, and may continue to change as time goes on.  Make sure to check our website (riverviewcf.org) or our Facebook page (facebook.com/riverviewcf) to stay up to date.  We are suspending all gatherings at the church and, if you want to have Christian fellowship, you may do so in small groups in homes.  If you need a group to join please let Merlin Miller know.

- TODAY, APR 19 This is the Sunday for missions, and we were anticipating Brother Ebenezer Samuel from Serve India Ministries to be with us.  We will instead hear from him via video.  The offering is still designated for the support of our field of pastors that Serve India is training to plant churches.

- APR 21, 6:30 PM The banquet for Serve India Ministries is postponed to a later date.

- APR 26, 6:30 PM The His Little Feet choir that was scheduled to be at Riverview is cancelled.

Continue to check the Website and/or Facebook page for new updates and content coming this week. All the videos we have been posting are also available on our YouTube Channel which you can subscribe to and get updates when things are published.

The Serve India Banquet that was planned for April 21 is being canceled at this time. Any questions or details on that should be directed to Kris Reckers.

March 29, 2020 Announcements

Again this week there is no corporate gathering and there are very few announcements so no bulletin will be made.

As of this posting the banquet for Serve India Ministries is still planning on happening APR 21, 6:30 PM and will take place at Riverview.  We are serving Indian food and Brother Ebey will be sharing an update from the field.  If you would like to sponsor a table please contact Kris Reckers at kris@sim2020.org or 574-535-8271. This banquet goal is to support 2 fields of pastors.

March 22, 2020 Announcements

Due to not having corporate church gatherings this week and minimal announcements there won’t be a bulletin for this week. The announcements are following:

MAR 22 The events that were planned for today are all cancelled or postponed.  This includes the fellowship meal, the Plain Church Group Ministry meeting with Nate Schwartz that was to be after the fellowship meal, and the licensing service for Bryce Bontrager at Bowne Mennonite Church. If/when those events get re-scheduled we will let you know.
