1) The Seed of Faith
Merlin Miller begins a new series going through the book of 2 Thessalonians. This is a follow up to preaching through 1 Thessalonians in 2023. In this letter Paul writes again to correct, or clarify, a few things from his first letter and to continue establishing these believers in the faith. In these opening verses Paul focuses on the growth that has come from the seed of faith that had taken root.

If the theme from the prior text was Paul’s desire to see the believers in Thessalonica established in their faith, the theme in this text is his desire to see them sanctified. Paul exhorted them to live holy lives, especially in regards to sexual relations.

Merlin Miller returns to the study of 1 Thessalonians with this 6th message titled Established taken from 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13. Paul returns to the reason for his writing - to make sure of & acknowledge that these new Thessalonians believers were established in the faith. This text also serves as a transition from the opening remarks to the rest of the letter.
5: Our Glory and Joy
Merlin Miller continues preaching through the book of 1 Thessalonians. This fifth message is taken from 1 Thessalonians 2:13-20. In this text Paul returns to his earlier giving of thanks for the Thessalonians and their reception of the Gospel, and he communicates his sincere desire to come see them and how he sees them in the Lord.
4: Entrusted with the Gospel
Merlin Miller continues preaching through the book of 1 Thessalonians. This fourth message is taken from 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12. In this text Paul continues to share how they have been entrusted with the Gospel, but this time instead of focusing on what they were proclaiming, he focuses on how they conducted themselves.
